“Hello lovelies! I’m Sandy Denman-Stroszka.
 

I’m a chaplain with the Community Catholic Church of Canada, licensed to perform weddings in Ontario and some southern States. Short, sweet, simple, mostly non-religious ceremonies are my specialty. 

Many of my children and extended family are part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, and it is an absolute honour when they ask me to help them solemnize and celebrate their legal vows. I am an active contributor to the Grey-Bruce Pride organization as well.

I adore helping couples on a tight budget. In my experience, very little money spent on the “event” often means that the day’s focus is squarely on the marriage. I’ve married couples in their best work clothes in their living room with their mom and dad as witnesses, and the spirit of love in the room matched or even outmatched the fanciest venues and traditions I’ve seen.
 

In the spirit of affordability, I offer a somewhat “a la carte” menu of services. My rates start at $125 for a short standard ceremony, with travel expenses, rehearsals, major customizations /additions and help applying for your official legal marriage certificate being extra. I’m always available to chat with questions for free!

I like to get to know you a little beforehand, so I arrange video-chat visits with you before your ceremony to fit in details that make your ceremony your own (no travel expenses necessary!)

Booking a few months ahead is much appreciated, but I am very flexible with my time, so I can usually work out a last-minute fill-in if you’re stuck.
